APRIL 2, 2018 APPROVED CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tim Volk on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 5:00 pm. Upon roll call, the following council members were present: James Gartner, Shelly Hauge, Randy Meidinger, Dan Imdieke, Dennis Morris, Linda Schumacher-Kelsch. Also present: Attorney Joe Hanson, City Foreman Bob Job, City Administrator Sharon Jangula, City Deputy Auditor Joy Bosch.

Visitors: Rory Humann, Derrick Walker.

A motion to approve Applications for Gaming Permit #18-04 Linton Lions Club – raffle and #18-06 Kidder Emmons Senior Services – raffle was made by James Gartner and seconded by Linda Schumacher-Kelsch. Unanimous aye vote; motion carried.

A motion to approve Building Permit Applications #18-6 Clarence Herz – remodel house and build attached garage; #18-7 Shahn Fletcher – new chain link fence and deck, contingent on following all setbacks required by ordinance and the fence cannot be placed in the right-of-way; #18-8 Lorraine Schatz – new siding on garage and new doors was made by Linda Schumacher-Kelsch and seconded by Shelly Hauge. Unanimous aye vote; motion carried.

A motion to designate Dairy & Ag Days as a special event and approve the request to allow alcoholic beverages on Main Street (Broadway) from Sampson Avenue to Walnut Avenue during the Dairy & Ag Days Street Dance was made by James Gartner and seconded by Randy Meidinger. Unanimous aye vote; motion carried. No glass bottles or glass containers will be allowed.

A motion to support the Opportunity Zone Grant Application was made by Shelly Hauge and seconded by Linda Schumacher-Kelsch. Unanimous aye vote; motion carried.

A motion to approve the March 7, 2018 regular meeting minutes and the March 27, 2018 Special Meeting Minutes was made by Dan Imdieke and seconded by James Gartner. Unanimous aye vote; motion carried.

A motion to approve the March 2018 Monthly Financial Report was made by James Gartner and seconded by Shelly Hauge. Unanimous aye vote; motion carried.
