Entry fee per team – $30.00 (100 % payback). Deadline to enter cook-off – Thursday, October 6, 2016. Must be 21 years of age to enter. NO TENTS will be set up.
Cook-Off Schedule: 12:30pm – registration and setup (no setting up before 10:00am – trailers, vehicles, etc. ) 1:00pm – chop and preparation; 1:00pm – 5:30pm – cooking time; 5:30pm – judging and chili feed ($5.00)
Chili Cook-Off Rules: 1. Beans may be used. 2. No ingredient may be pre-cooked or treated in any way prior to the preparation period which will begin approx. one hour prior to the commencement of the official cook-off. The only exceptions are canned or bottled tomatoes, tomato sauce, peppers, pepper sauce, beverages, broth and grinding and/or mixing of spices. Meat may be pre-cut or ground but not treated in any way. All other ingredients must be chopped or prepared during the preparation period. 3. Contestants are responsible for supplying all of their own cooking utensils, tables, etc. The sponsors of the cook-off will provide an area for each contestant and electrical outlets. 4. Each contestant must cook a minimum of 3 gallons of chili. 5. Have fun!!!
