The meeting was called to order by Mayor Daniel Imdieke on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 5:00 pm. Upon roll call, the following council members were present: James Gartner, Brian Jacob, Wayne Ehley, Dennis Morris, Travis Dockter. Absent: Randall Meidinger. Also Present: Director of Public Works Tyler Gross, Administrator/Auditor Sharon Jangula, Deputy Auditor Joy Bosch.

A motion to approve the September 5, 2023 Meeting Minutes was made by Wayne Ehley, seconded by Brian Jacob. Unanimous aye vote; motion carried.

At 5:30 p.m. a Public Hearing was held regarding the 2024 City Budget. There were no oral or written comments from the public.
A motion to approve the 2024 Final Budget & Certificate of Levy for the City, Library, and Airport was made by James Gartner, second by Travis Dockter. Unanimous aye vote; motion carried. The amount levied is as follows: General Fund-$175,000.00; Emergency Fund-$6,595.00; Cemetery Fund-$5,275.00; JDA-$6,500.00; Library-$10,600.00; Airport-$10,600.00.
The council reviewed the Engineer’s Report on the initial findings of the inspection of streets. Other discussion was held on the 125th Celebration, inspection of trees by a Community Forestry Specialist; Community Center updates; replacing the outdated Welcome to Linton signs.
Minutes of the LIDC August 9, 2023 meeting & August 31, 2023 Balance Sheet were provided to the council.
The next regular meeting will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
